Mr. Angad Banga, JP

Mr. Angad Banga JP is Chief Executive Officer of The Caravel Group. He oversees capital allocation, strategic direction, and investments across the Caravel enterprise, including the Group's portfolio of maritime assets, long-term investments in maritime operating companies and financial investments.

Angad joined The Caravel Group at its inception and served as Chief Operating Officer from 2016 to 2025. During this period, he was instrumental in the strategic transformation of the Group into the diversified organization it is today, establishing new business lines, delivering strong investment performance, and enhancing the capabilities of the Group's core operations.

Angad serves as Executive Director of Fleet Management Limited, the Group's largest operating company and one of the world's largest third-party ship managers. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Pacific Basin, a leading dry bulk shipping company, of which The Caravel Group is the largest shareholder.

Beyond his executive responsibilities, Angad is a Board Member of the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Development Board, where he serves as Chairman of the Promotion and External Relations Committee. He is a Member of the West of England P&I Club's Member Committee. He is also an Independent Director of Hong Kong China Rugby, the governing body for rugby in Hong Kong.

Angad served as Chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association from 2023 to 2025, representing the industry through a period of significant geopolitical and regulatory change.

Prior to joining The Caravel Group, Angad was a Principal at KKR, where he focused on private equity investing and established and led KKR Capital Markets Asia.

In recognition of his contributions to public service and the Hong Kong community, he was appointed a Justice of the Peace (JP) by the Hong Kong SAR Government in July 2024.

Angad holds a BA with Honours in Economics from Dartmouth College.
