Promoting the transition to cleaner fuels, such as ammonia, is a key part of our emissions reduction efforts under the Encompass strategy. While ammonia poses safety risks if mishandled, our years of experience operating ammonia carriers have resulted in a strong foundation of safety protocols and crew expertise. Through collaborative feasibility studies, we’ve demonstrated that ammonia can be both safe and transformative. To support industry-wide adoption, we’re equipping clients with data tools to meet environmental requirements and working with partners to co-develop crew training standards. By advancing ammonia’s safe use, we’re building a skilled workforce and paving the way for a cleaner maritime future.
